Students enrolled for the current semester may obtain verification of enrollment by logging onto the CMU Portal, clicking on Academics and selecting the Student Clearinghouse Record link.  A separate window will open, allowing the student to obtain an enrollment certificate to print and mail as needed.  Students may also check their enrollment history, view student loan deferment notifications that have been sent to providers, view proofs of enrollment notifications that have been sent to health insurers and other providers, and view information about student loans.  CMU sends regularly scheduled transmissions to the National Student Clearinghouse. For verification of enrollment for a future semester, the Registrar's Office will generate a "Letter of Intent" verifying that a student has registered for that semester.  Enrollment is based on hours enrolled as follows: 

	Undergraduate	Graduate
Full-time	12+	9+
Half-time	6-11	5-8
Less than half-time	1-5	1-4
